The Demonslayer’s Handbook is a series of books which began in 2004 as an outline for a concept album of the same name, but ended up taking on a life of its own. The manuscript for the first book in the series is written, with approximately 80,000 strategically-placed words.
Book One of The Demonslayer’s Handbook is a fast-paced novel of modern-day dark-fantasy. It is currently being edited and should be available in Spring 2010.

The Story:
When demons uncover a series of occult rituals taking place in Minneapolis, they seek help from the last people on Earth you would expect… Demonslayers.
What could frighten demons enough that they would seek help from their sworn enemies? Is the enemy of your enemy your friend? Can Demons and Demonslayers work together to fight against a force greater than Good and Evil?
The answers involve super powers, fist fights, black leather and black magic culminating in an explosive showdown at the heart of Minneapolis between Good, Evil, and Something Else…
… and the small time metal band that gets caught in the middle of it all.
The Characters:
Nix – Dark, Deadly and Mysterious, Nix is one of the best in the world at what she does: killing demons by hand. She prefers to use swords so she can be close to them when they die, despite the fact that demons have a nasty habit of bursting into flames when slain.
Sebastian – Demonologist extraordinaire, Sebastian is an authority on all things occult. He can sense the auras of others and he can move out of his body into a realm known as the In-Between.
Stuart – Stuart wrote the book on fighting demons. Now retired from the field, he is an outfitter for demonslayers. Stuart runs an underground workshop that gathers intel and performs research on demons, and creates custom weaponry for demonslayers to ‘fight the good fight.’
Miss Angelica Sade – Beautiful. Powerful. Demonic. Owner and manager of the hedonistic Club DeSade where the wildest fantasies of all the club members are satisfied… on stage.
Taylor – Leader of the Demonslayer Task Force, Taylor and his team kill demons on sight with whatever means they have at their disposal. Typically, whatever explosives they have at their disposal.
Jinx – The nihilistic lead singer of the local goth-metal band Flat Black. His life philosophy of “Be the River” comes under scrutiny when he gets involved with a group who are not what they seem to be.
The World:
Imagine that demons are among us right now, possessing the bodies of average everyday people. They look like you and me, but they are Demons with no conscience and no remorse, with the ability to take on their true form which is equally hideous and dangerous. They could be anywhere. Your bus driver. Your dentist. Your coworker. People you see every day.
Imagine a small group of people who are aware of this truth, and have dedicated themselves to locating and destroying Demons where they hide. Some are members of the church. Some are members of elite para-military groups. Some are simply rogue hitmen. Some are “Spiritual Demonslayers” who attempt exorcism, trying to save the possessed person and recover their spirit. Some are “Traditional Demonslayers” who think it’s too late for that, and attempt to kill demons on sight using any means necessary.
Imagine that in the midst of this war between demons and demonslayers something new arrives. An archeological discovery releases a secret that lay hidden for thousands of years. Now, a group of people have begun the steps to awaken an ancient being known as Tzicharia.
