The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster

Mulder and Scully were right! The truth was out there!

The world was, in fact, created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster also known as FSM. Too much to laugh about here, you have to check out the book or the website for more astounding revelations like this one:

You may be interested to know that global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters are a direct effect of the shrinking numbers of Pirates since the 1800s.

The author requests, nay Demands that the FSM theory be taught in schools alongside the the other popular creation theories.

You know when Wikipedia lists it, it’s gospel.

Conradzero.com makes top 100 Gothic websites styles list!

/ August 1st, 2005 / No Comments »

An e-mail to me from www.vlasishost.com announced that www.conradzero.com was chosen for their “top 100″ list of Gothic HTML styles.

Vlasishost provides code, tools, tips and resources for HTML and PHP programming.

I’m flattered and surprised. I guess if you choose a narrow enough niche, you too can be in the top 100! I know there are not many other gothic, musician/author/demonologists out there…

Transmission Show at the Hexagon Bar – Minneapolis, MN

/ July 28th, 2005 / No Comments »

[2010 Update: Transmission has moved from Hexagon to Clubhouse Jager.]

Checked out Transmission last night at the Hexagon Bar. A decent place, although it wasn’t shaped like a Hexagon. Ran into local fashion “yes”, Miss Anna Lee. Revolver Modele opened, and as always a great show. The free parking and free cover for live music is a big plus. You won’t find awesome free music like this in LA or NY!

BTW: The host, DJ Jake Rudh spins audio coolness.

The headliner was Mark Mallman, who plays keyboards, is completely insane, and completely all-out-rock-and-roll showman. He actually stood on his own organ! Yikes! Imagine Billy Joel, Elton John, Meatloaf, and Ted Nugent combined. Just try. That’s right, you can’t imagine it, you have to see it. Check it out, he is in the middle of a seven straight day series of concerts at the Hexagon…

August Strindberg and Helium

/ June 10th, 2005 / No Comments »

Been offline for a while. I might be coming down with EverQuest2-itis…

Actually I have been spending much of my spare time writing. The Demonslayer’s Handbook is now up to 425 pages. The story grows and grows with no end in site, and writing it is like trying to “catch a deluge in a paper cup” to quote Crowded House.

During a rare Non-Writing and Non-EverQuest moment, I tripped across this wonderful website:

Strindberg + Helium

My favorite episode is “At Home with the Kids”.  It is Strange. Like you.

Take the Final Voyage with Celestis

/ February 16th, 2004 / 1 Comment »

My will states that when I die I will have a viking funeral. My body will be loaded onto a longboat, which will be set on fire and pushed out into Lake Superior.

But Celestis would have been my second choice. For a reasonable fee, they will take a “symbolic portion” of your cremated body into space.

Their Earth Rise Service (Starting at $695) will lift your ash into space, and return you to earth.

Their Earth Orbit Service (Starting at $2495) launches your ash into earth orbit.

The Luna Service (Starting at $9,995) will send one gram of your ash to the moon.

The Voyager Service (Starting at $12,500) will send your ash into deep space…way past Uranus. [Editors Note: Sorry man, had to do it - Z]

Any of these options are better than being turned into jewelery.

Video Games in the Olympics

/ November 30th, -0001 / No Comments »

Video Games in the Olympics? Of course the Olympics has primarily been for sports and physical events, but now that geeks rule and uncool is the new cool, I can totally see the following events being part of the New Olympics:

  • Video Games
  • Linux Networking Triathlon (Install Linux / Connect to Wireless Network / Connect to Print Server)
  • Texting using a Cell Phone Keypad
  • Info filtering Triathlon (Process 1000 RSS feeds for relevant content / Filter 1000 e-mails for spam / Identify phishing sites from 1000 pages)
  • Hacking into Networked SQL database through Cisco Firewall

Spelling Bees are also gaining popularity in the media, (which tells you just how far down the toilet ‘reality programming’ has gone) so I guess that might be an event with some audience draw.

LARP-ing in the Olympics

I still think LARP (Live Action Role Play) should be an Olympic Sport. For those who don’t know what LARP is, watch this.
